The Asian American Convenience Store Association (AACSA) has signed a placement agreement with Public Media Works Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary, EntertainmentXpress Inc. for the initial rollout of 500 DVD movie and game kiosks in member-owned convenience stores, hotels, pharmacies and universities across the country.
Public Media Works Inc., the Los Angeles-based parent of upstart DVD kiosk rental company EntertainmentXpress, Sept. 30 said it inked a deal to install 500 branded kiosks with an Asian retail group comprising more than 90,000 independent businesses.
EntertainmentXpress says it is on schedule to roll out in quantity next year an advanced DVD kiosk that adds some new wrinkles to the vending machine business model.

Public Media Works, the Los Angeles-based parent of upstart DVD kiosk rental company EntertainmentXpress, April 5 said it signed separate agreements with five Popeye’s restaurant franchise owners.
Upstart kiosk vendor EntertainmentXpress has signed a deal with a Pizza Hut franchise to offer DVD movie and video game rentals at 155 restaurants throughout Pennsylvania.
